NHC Lexington

Licensed, 24 hours a day skilled nursing center has 170 beds with both private and semi-private rooms. They provide multiple levels of care, including skilled and traditional care, as well as hospice and short-term respite care.

Skilled nursing services provide transitional care for patients who require intensive restorative services. Whether provided for a few days, weeks, or months, physician-directed sub-acute and skilled health care services are designed to complement a hospital stay, or, in many cases, be a substitute for continued hospitalization.

Staff provides custodial and personal care that focuses on helping patients with activities of daily living, such as:

• Bathing - includes grooming activities such as shaving and brushing teeth and hair
• Dressing - choosing appropriate garments and being able to dress and undress, having no trouble with buttons, zippers or other fasteners
• Eating - nutritional supervision
• Assistance with manageable incontinence available
